Originalmente lo publique en mi pagina de Facebook despues de haber visto una presentacion en una clase...escrito el primero de Marzo del 2010...(Esta en ingles)
Today in my War in Genocide class a friend and classmate of mine brought this to my attention. This is believed to have been said by Pastor Martin Niemöller a Lutheran during Nazi Germany in WWII.
In Germany they first came for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me —
and by that time no one was left to speak up.
There are variations of this and this is found in the congressional records as well.
I just wanted to share this with everyone as I hope this will help us in many more ways than one, feel free to comment on this
